Your conditional permanent residence status is only suitable for two years. It cannot be renewed if you obtain it by investing in a new business as a foreign investor (generally known as the EB-5 program). You risk losing your legal status if you don’t apply to remove the restrictions on your permanent resident status within the 90 days before the anniversary of when you first received conditional permanent resident status (or were admitted to the US as a permanent resident).
